「𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲」

Flute was born premature and sickly, and Adel & Spade resigned to the fact that she wouldn’t survive the night. The fear of losing their daughter, and the fear of needing to explain to their young children the concept of death was becoming all too real. However the fiery warmth from her siblings and mother sleeping close to her gave her a resilience and she slowly but surely recovered and persevered. Developmentally, she was slower to hit early milestones such as walking and talking, but over time she met them all and started keeping up with other children her age.

From a young age, she bonded very closely to Adel. She couldn’t sleep in a nest unless her mother was with her, and if she wasn’t around Flute would stay awake either until she returned or until she couldn’t keep her little eyes open any longer. Her second choice of a nest buddy was always Viola, her sister and best friend. From a young age she generally felt the urge to hold her hand if she was nearby. It was a habit that brought Flute a lot of comfort.

Flute was a bit of an oddball, struggling to understand many social cues from other children her age and isolating simply out of habits that she naturally did alone - such as intently watching bugs or playing dead in the hot springs because floating face-down was her idea of fun. Most of her interactions were one-sided if someone else were to walk up to her and initiate. Nothing lasted much though, because her lack of follow-ups with others gave off a lack of interest to those who tried.

Had a one-sided rivalry with Calder, competing with Adel's attention and her desire to take over after her. However she has no ambition or confrontational bone in her body so nobody was aware of this feeling and anything that came out of it was self-sabotage.

Yearns for a relationship with Spade but he feels out of reach. Eventually finds a father figure in Rellyk, and accepts that the connection she wanted in Spade she got from him. (this has not been devved and is subject to change)

Evolves into a Pikachu early due to her "friendship" with Whistle. Dates Falcon in secret because they worry about their parents' strained relationship. Doesn't last long because she and Falcon had different needs and he didn't know how to meet hers. Leaves to find herself for a year or so and hecks around n finds out with Talon. Comes home eggnant with Wish. Realizes she's gay and forms a relationship with Marina.

* When she gets really excited about something, she runs in place but then stops because she’s self-conscious.
* Has Inattentive ADHD.
* Is extremely attached to Adel to the point that others may view it as unhealthy.
