Introduction | Conclusion

Despite the local researchers’ warnings, Pokemon from far and wide have come to check out this mysterious cave for themselves. So far, nothing of note has happened other than that ominous buzzing that seems to get louder and louder the longer anyone spends within it. Surely that and the feeling of static slowly creeping up the hairs on the backs of their necks is nothing to worry about, right? Wait… what’s that rumbling coming from deep within the cavern? Suddenly, at the back of the innermost chamber, a loud crash rings so loudly it can be heard from the entrance. A unique-looking Charizard bursts forth from a cluster of crystals and lets out an almighty roar!

‼️ Boss Encounter: Terastal Charizard (Dragon) ‼️
➤ Prompt Objectives

It seems like there was something dangerous about this cave after all! Adventurers are suddenly faced with a primordial beast, but not one the likes of anyone in recent times has ever witnessed before: this angry dragon has a unique look about it, as if its entire body were made of faceted gemstones. Whatever it is, it doesn’t look happy about all these people wandering into its home and taking its crystals [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Does your character immediately turn tail and flee or do they stay and fight? Not all individuals are built for battle, and sometimes it’s better for them to quickly get out of the way so as not to hinder the experienced fighters (though there are always, of course, some who seek out a fight anyway, regardless of whether or not they should be fighting).
  • For those who are capable of fighting: do they immediately jump into the fray, determined to protect the others caught in the crossfire? Are they reluctantly pulled into the action, not really having expected to be suddenly forced to such energy today? Or are they thrilled at the opportunity to fight something so new and unknown?
  • Anyone heavily versed in ancient history or Pokemon evolutionary lore might have an inkling as to what exactly this creature is. Do they marvel at seeing one for themselves first hand? Do they immediately record down any and all information they can witness in real time, as the battle rages in the background? Do they share their knowledge with the others to better help them fight?
    • Damage Boosters (bonus objectives/rewards):
      • Type Advantages (they do not stack):
        • The participating character has a single type advantage and is portrayed using a move of that type = 1.5x Damage Dealt + 5R + 1 Tera Shard.
        • The participating character as a tera type advantage and is portrayed terastalized and using a tera move = 2x Damage Dealt + 10R + 2 Tera Shards.
          • Note that if the participating character has a type disadvantage, they will do 0.5x damage instead (this does not affect Radiance/reward distribution).
      • Submission Goals (they do stack):
        • The participating character has the Tera Charged perk = 2x Damage Dealt + 5R + 1 Tera Shard
        • The Tera Raid Boss is included in the submission and is at least 50% visible = 1.5x Damage Dealt 5R + 1 Tera Shard
        • The participating character brought a friend (or companion) along to assist = 1.5x Damage Dealt + 5R + 1 Tera Shard

Crystaline Encounters part I

Introduction | Conclusion

Something… strange is happening. A mysterious energy has been felt in certain parts of the region shortly following the discovery of a previously unearthed cave in Archaia. Inside this curious cavern, crystals of all colors of the rainbow sparkle and glow, tempting scavengers, geology fanatics, and adventurers alike to come take a look for themselves. There’s also a slight, nearly indistinguishable humming in the air that is felt rather than heard. It’s almost akin to the static of a coming lightning storm, or the feeling of a featherlight touch across the back of the neck, that leaves some Pokemon on edge while filling others with an unidentifiable excitement. However, it’s been heavily cautioned that no one get too close to this cave and to report any similar disturbances to the local researchers who are tirelessly working to determine the cause and, most importantly, if there’s any kind of foreseeable threat.

➤ Prompt Objectives

A cave filed with strange glowing crystals and a slightly intimidating aura has been discovered! Local authorities have warned others to stay away until the area is properly explored… but where’s the fun in that? [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • What does your character think about this discovery? Do they dash headfirst into the cave with no regard for the rules, determined to be a part of the action as it unfolds in real time? Were they peer-pressured by their friends and reluctantly tag along with the group despite their concerns?
  • Or maybe they’re part of one of the official expedition teams that have been put together by a larger archeological organization to learn more about the cave. Do they study the strange crystals and their previously unseen energy readings? Or were they hired to guard the researchers just in case something - beasts, bandits, or otherwise - found an opportunity or whim to attack? (Though, the cave is strangely devoid of any beast activity or evidence thereof…)
  • Does something feel a bit... strange? The longer your character spends in this unusual cavern, the more and more they feel like something is... off. Not in a bad way, necessarily - it just doesn't feel normal. Wait? Were they always this sparkly?
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • No one knows what mysteries lie in wait in the depths of this mysterious cavern. For safety, it's probably best to bring a friend! Submissions that include an additonal character or bonded companion will be eligible for an extra +5R.

[EX-001] Foraging: Scrapyard || ☆☆☆☆☆

Send your characters out on a hunt for items!

Details

Foraging: Scrapyard

Foraging prompts work a little differently than what users might be used to, so until we get a proper explanation page set up, we'll do our best to explain the rules and requirements here for you in the meantime! Just like general prompts, foraging requires that users submit an image of their characters basically exploring the specified areas. Once completed, they will return home with radiance, experience, and an assortment of items based on what conditions were met. Foraging is a bit unique in that users can include multiple of their characters + the companions of those characters, in a single submission to increase the amount of rewards received. But for every character included, it will cost the user something in return. Stamina now exists in game. This is intended to be a temporary user-based system, as our ultimate goal is to make foraging a character based system instead. But due to LK limitations, we have to set it up this way for the time being.

For every character used in a foraging submission, it will cost the participating user 1 stamina. So if you're participating with 3 character, the cost to participate will be 3 stamina. A perk of bonded primordial beasts, however, is that including them doesn't cost extra stamina. The 1 stamina cost per character applies to the character and their bonded companions.

Currently, there are only four items that can be collected via foraging:

Trash [it has a purpose, don't worry!]
Twigs
Berries
Chests

Chests are rare foraging finds that contain items other than foragables [think along the lines of vouchers, evolutionary stones, etc etc]. For baseline foraging prompts, however, the chance to find chests is extremely low [about 1%] and the primary purpose of foraging is to find items that can be sold or used in crafting recipes.

dRAW THE gLOWCHU aBOVE

Are you interested in participating in an activity where the objective is to not only create gift art for a fellow user, but also receive gift art in return? If so, then you've come to the right place! This is Draw the Glowchu Above  - a Discord based, ARPG-oriented activity where users post in our designated DTGA channel as an opportunity to both create and receive art! After posting, you'll draw the character of the person who posted before you and the person who posts after you will draw your character! And then the cycle continues. It's almost like a year round Secret Santa exchange or a mystery art trade, where you can both give and get art at your own pace and discretion and what you get in return, as well as who you get it from, will always be a surprise! This is a Discord based activity, however, so users will be unable to participate unless they're part of the Glowchus community Discord server.

➤ Prompt Objectives

The point here, as you may have already guessed from the title, is to draw the Glowchu linked in the respective channel's most recent post. It's a fun way for community members to give and receive gift art of their characters and everyone who participates will receive a boosted Radiance rewards for each completed submission. If you're ready to get started, please make sure to read the information outlined below for a step-by-step guide on how to participate, as well as some general rules to follow when doing so:

  1. Copy, paste, and fill out the following form in the community Discord's #dtga channel!
    • Site Name:

If you've ever found yourself wondering why we have a character feature on the front page of the Glowchus website, well - this is the reason! For a full seven days, each and every week of the year, we host a character feature. For this activity, the goal is to create an art piece focused around the respective week's featured character! It doesn't matter what you do or what additional characters you include as long as the featured character remains the focus of the piece. Each week's feature will change Monday morning and close that same week on Sunday night. Anyone who submits a piece for the activity during that time frame will receive special rewards that can pretty much only be earned, on site,  through gift art oriented prompts - and make someone's day in the process!

➤ Prompt Objectives

Welcome to the Weekly Feature! Each week's featured character can be found on the top left side of the Glowchus home page. The feature changes every week on Monday at 1AM PST and can be any character - Main or Side - and any species (with the sole exception of Companions). And don't worry about stepping on any toes when it comes to making art for these characters - after all, only characters with giftart permissions set to "allowed" can be featured. Characters set to disallow giftart cannot be featured. In order to participate, all you need to do is the following:

  • Create and submit a piece centered around the featured character! This can be art, lit, or anything in between - just make sure that if you plan on doing anything other than art, that the owner of the featured character is comfortable with it!
➤ Submission Guidelines

Any guidelines that apply to this specific prompt are outlined below. Please read through this information thoroughly, as what's written here can vary significantly from one prompt to another. Failing to acknowledge and likewise adhere to the established guidelines for any particular prompt may result in the rejection of submissions or otherwise cause a delay in the approval process! If any additional help or guidance is needed, a more comprehensive breakdown of general guidelines that apply specifically to prompt submissions can be found here. For tutorials on how to participate in and submit prompts specifically, our website tutorials address that topic in depth on this page here.

  • There is no deadline for this prompt.
  • The maximum number of entries a user can make to this prompt is 1 [per feature].
    • Note that users may only submit an entry for the character currently featured. Entries for past features will not be accepted.
    • There's no need to submit entries to the prompt before the week is over, as long the piece itself was submitted to the gallery during the week of the feature.
  • Entries for this prompt should be submitted to Weekly Feature in the Glowchus site gallery.
  • In order to qualify for the rewards of this prompt, submissions must meet the following minimum requirements:
    • Illustrations should be flat-colored, full body images of the featured character.
    • Literature should include 600 words and the featured character must be the focus of the piece.
      • When planning for lit pieces, please ensure that the recipient is comfortable with gift writing for their character!
  • Users may NOT participate in this prompt using commissioned/requested/gifted piece. Any creative works submitted for the sake of this prompt must be done wholly by the submitter.
  • In the "Comments" field of the prompt submission page, copy, paste, and fill out the prompt submission form.
➤ Rewards

Rewards for prompt submissions are broken down into two categories based on their respective distribution processes. Automatically added rewards are those that are applied to the prompt submission by default, meaning the user does not need to add them. Manually added rewards, however, are those that the user is responsible for adding and keeping track of themselves. Because the site can't calculate what additional rewards a user might be eligible for, said user needs to make note of them any time they make a prompt submission to ensure that they're maximizing their prompt participation benefits!

  • Automatically added:
    • 1 Star Token
    • 1 Bonus Gift
  • Manually added:
    • 100 Experience for the featured character
    • 25 Experience for any additional characters

Illuminating encounters

By now, everyone knows about the original eighteen experiments Polaris created that banded together to stop the organization’s malicious rise and save the world. Their very existence marked a turning point in the natural world that humanity and Pokemon alike will feel the effects of for millennia to come. But that's ancient history now. Whatt we want is to go back to the beginning - back to the moments that forever altered the trajectory of those Pokemons' lives... back to the moments when they first crossed paths with one another. For it was those very first encounters that would fan the flames of what would eventually become one of the biggest revolutions in recorded Pokemon history.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Every relationship has to start somewhere, and in this specific instance, that "somewhere" is at the very beginning - when two individuals crossed paths for the very first time in their lives. What was it like? How did it feel? Was there an instant feeling of kinship between them? Or on the contrary, did their eyes lock immediately in bitter rivalry? Maybe they even knew each other from the very beginning. Friends, lovers, parents, enemies… whatever relationship your character has with another, explore that very first encounter between them.

  • Depict the very first meeting between your character and another!

Random Event 3: The Haunted Forest II

Introduction | Conclusion

Despite Mirage’s explicit warnings not to travel into the Haunted Forest, some of Moon Clan went there anyway in search of their missing possessions. While they explored the area for any clues of what or who stole them, a clue jumps right out at them: a Sableye with a dangerous, toothy smile on his face and a set of razor-sharp, experienced claws. This is his home - he knows these woods better than anyone and will utilize that advantage to take down his victims one by one. Luckily for Moon Clan, their fearless leader appears just in time to save the day! Even though she was quite clear in stating she wouldn’t come to rescue them, here she is, with Lacie close behind - surely their appearance is enough to turn the tide of battle and escape the forest alive!

➤ Prompt Objectives

It’s revealed that the thief is a ruthless individual by the name of Salem, a Sableye who has made his home in the Whispering Woods. Were the stolen items a trap to lead them here, or did he simply attack when Moon Clan came too close to his treasure? His motives may be unknown, but the threat he poses is anything but; this search for missing objects has quickly turned into a fight for survival [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • An enemy is attacking fellow clan members! And, unfortunately, Salem isn’t alone; it seems he’s got a small legion of ghost-type beasts at his beck and call. Does your character jump into the fray and try to take the bloodthirsty Sableye on directly, or fend off some of his ghostly minions?
  • Not everyone is a fighter. Even if they can’t participate in the battle directly, your character can try to defend others with support and defensive moves, tend to the wounds of the injured, or simply try their best to hide until the action is over.
  • Salem's distracted! Now's your character's chance to sneak away with some goodies from the Sableye's haul. All of these items have no doubt been stolen from someone else at some point or another, so there's no harm in taking them back... right?
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Salem is on the attack! Submissions that include him will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

rANDOM eVENT 2: tHE hAUNTED fOREST i

Introduction | Conclusion

Day by day, Moon Clan’s members’ possessions seem to be going missing. Even with their growing numbers, the sheer size of Dragonspiral Tower allows each of them to have their own rooms, so misplacing objects shouldn’t be such a widespread issue- unless someone were breaking into said rooms and stealing them. Tensions were starting to run high and distrust between strangers thickened until someone claimed they spotted a mysterious cloaked figure retreating from the tower and towards the forest to the north. Many of Moon Clan would know that forest - either from local hearsay or from one of Mirage’s many lectures - as the Whispering Woods or, simply, the “Haunted Forest,” aptly named for its high number of Ghost-type primordial beasts and penchant for swallowing up unsuspecting travelers who are never heard from again… So goes the rumors, anyway. It could all be baseless suspicion sprouted from fear of the unknown… but are the stolen items really worth the risk?

➤ Prompt Objectives

In the distance beyond Dragonspiral Tower lies the Whispering Woods, a dark and winding weald. Most individuals who enter this mysterious forest find themselves completely and utterly lost, unable to even tell the time of day due to the thick canopy of trees and suspicious violet fog blocking the sky, until the forest spits them back out again at the entrance…and some unlucky few are simply never heard from again. Mirage warns the group explicitly not to go into the woods and ensures she won’t be there to save them when things go wrong. Is it really worth the trip for a few stolen possessions? Either way, here are some choices [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Did your character notice an important item missing and vow to go find it, no matter what? What could be so precious to potentially risk one’s life in such an unforgiving land, even if the rumors surrounding the forest weren’t true? Or maybe, for them, it’s just the principle of the thing?
  • Some characters might not have had anything stolen from them, but want to join the group just for the sake of exploring something spooky! You don’t get to visit a haunted forest every day, you know. Would your character go for the thrill, even despite Mirage’s warnings? Or do they reluctantly tag along despite their fears?
  • The forest is thick, with mostly dead trees that wither and curl all the way up to a top that can’t be seen through the dense, violet fog that permeates the area. It’s very common to see Ghost Pokemon-related objects scattered about, such as Reaper Cloth or even items left behind - or stolen - by previous travelers.
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • It seems as though Theron has had something particularly important stolen from him. Maybe your character can lend a hand in his search? Submissions that include him will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

Mission 1-2: Cooking 101

Even though Mirage might not be personally handing out meals to every 'chu in the tower, she – grudgingly – allows everyone to eat their fill from her precious food stores. So what's on the menu today, your character may ask? Berries, berries, and... oh look! ...More berries. They might be a delicious snack with a wide range of flavors, but eating them raw day in and day out with no alternatives would surely get old. It's time for a change! Are there any secret chefs out there who are willing to share their talents with the rest of the clan? Or maybe your character has never cooked before, but has always wanted a chance to try? Well whatever the reason, the kitchen's all theirs- so get in there and get cookin'. Everyone will surely thank them!

➤ Prompt Objectives

It’s time to get cooking! Unfortunately, the resources available for such an endeavor are… limited, to say the least. How will your character choose to tackle this situation? Well, here are some options [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Food stores have dwindled since Mirage started letting Pokemon take up residence inside the tower - although, they were never particularly bountiful before that, either. There’s not much anyone can do to make a meal with what’s available, so if your character isn’t the cooking type, maybe they can go out in search of some ingredients? From fauna to flora, surely there must be something edible in the area around the tower!
  • Cooking is an art and the tower kitchen is now your character’s canvas, so it’s time to get cooking! Are they a good chef? A bad one? What do they make? And most importantly of all… does anyone actually like whatever concoction they manage to whip up?
  • If your character isn't the cooking type, that doesn't mean they won't enjoy the culinary efforts of the other tower residents! What did your character try? Did they enjoy their meal? Or did it leave them feeling as though they're better off finding their own food from now on?

Introduction | Conclusion

Deterred from their course due to an unexpected attack from a massive class 4 primordial Aerodactyl, Sun Clan has found themselves with little choice but to make their way through the longer, more tedious route to their destination - the Scorching Plains. This massive expanse of desert covers nearly 2/3 the region of Terraria and stretches out across the horizon as far as the eye can see. There's no food, there's no water, and worst of all, it’s hot and dangerous. While there may not be quite as high of a risk of getting attacked by a primordial beast in this arid wasteland, you can grantee that there's a multitude of other ways to get yourself killed out here from dehydration to sandstorms. As a result, Ilfrit has decided upon what he thinks to be the safest course of action - the group will set up shelter during the day when it’s hot and the threat of heat stroke is imminent and travel only by night when it’s cooler and less of a strain on those involved in the venture. Sure, it may be cold as all heck out there when night falls, but traveling in this manner will ensure the highest rate of survival.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Ilfrit has determined that, in order to preserve their strength and resources during the trudge across the Scorching Plains, Sun Clan will rest by day and travel only by night. It’s not the most convenient of ventures, but when Ilfrit tells someone to do something, it is best not to ask questions [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Sun Clan’s journey across Terraria continues! In order to conserve energy, the group travels only at night. It’s going to be a long walk across the Scorching Plains, so everyone better get used to it! What does your character experience during the seemingly endless cold nights of travel?
  • In a further attempt to preserve precious energy, the clan rests during the day, when the temperatures are at their peak. How does your character fare in this endeavor? Do they find it hard to sleep during the day? Maybe they’re more of a night owl anyway and this method of travel is more to their preference?
  • While most of the clan has gotten used to the change, it seems not everyone is able to adapt so easily. Many clan members struggle to get enough rest during the blistering daytime heat and are exhausted on the move at night. Where does your character fit in? Were they one of the ones who were able to adapt? Or are the sleepless days and exhausting nights slowly beginning to wear on them?
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Because he knows Terraria like the back of his hand, Ilfrit is charting the course across the Scorching Plains. Submissions that include him will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

An unfamiliar Glowchu has appeared at the tower! Despite his young age and perhaps less-than-capable appearance, Ether serves as head of the largest (and pretty much only) medical organization the world currently has. Its primary purpose is to spread aid and relief across these suffering lands, and its efforts have earned much renown and admiration through the centuries. But what is the leader of such a foundation doing here, in this uninhabited portion of desolate wasteland, of all places? Well, it just so happens that he and Mirage are cousins! He comes by from time to time to check up on her and, as much as she protests his concern and denies special treatment, Ether is the only person Mirage would ever trust with handling her - or anyone else's - injuries. The young medic certainly didn't expect so many 'chus to be running around his unsociable cousin's home on his next visit, but he's graciously willing to give a lesson or two in the basics of first aid so everyone can be better prepared to handle themselves in the harsh environment. So pay attention; this knowledge could one day end up being the difference between life and death!

➤ Prompt Objectives

Uh oh... it looks like Mirage sustained a couple injuries upon returning from the clan members' scuffle with the Sableye in the woods. Nothing serious, of course, but Ether has deemed it as an entertaining- er, educational opportunity to demonstrate first aid treatments to the rest of the group. He's instructed everyone to pair up with one another in order to practice some important medical skills. But there are plenty of other learning opportunities elsewhere as well [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Ether has offered to teach your character some basic first-aid. Listen closely! You never know when this precious knowledge could save your character’s life - or someone else’s!
  • If your character already has some medical experience, why not have them help tend to some of their clanmates who were injured in the recent scuffle with Salem? Surely they’ll appreciate the gesture!
  • Hmm… Though no one was seriously injured, the amount of resources it has taken to tend to everyone’s bumps and bruises has the tower’s medical supplies running seriously low. Maybe your character can contribute to the medical care of their clanmates by heading to the nearest town and picking up supplies? There are probably even some medicinal herbs they can find right around the tower.
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Ether is here to help teach members of Moon Clan some basic first-aid - Arceus knows they need it! Submissions that include him will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

pLOT pOINT 2: Amber MIA

Introduction | Conclusion

It has been brought to Solari’s attention that Amber has been missing for quite some time. He does seem to vaguely recall something about her having gone after Madison, so surely it’s nothing to worry about; the most reasonable explanation for her extended absence is that she simply got lost in the great expanse of desert or maybe she even lost track of time. Whatever the case, and despite the inconvenience, Solari has decided that he’d better send someone out to look for her. After all, if something bad DID happen to her... well, let’s just say that the young prince doesn’t exactly want that on his conscience - especially not so soon after the loss of their youngest member. The weight of that loss still lies heavy on everyone’s minds and the last thing they need right now is to lose someone else.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Solari has sent your character out on a mission to retrieve Amber. They might not be able to find her, but if they happen to find any evidence of where she may have gone, they should make sure to report back to Solari asap [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • No one really knows where Amber went, and with a region as large as Terraria, there’s more places to look than Sun Clan even has members to search. Still, they have to start somewhere! Your character can partake in the endeavor by exploring the surrounding area.
  • Despite the need for a rather broad search area, considering the fact that Amber has been gone for weeks, it’s probably best if your character doesn’t stray too far from the clan - one never knows what dangers could be waiting for them just beyond the next rise.
  • If your character does decide, however stupidly, to expand their search beyond what would be considered a relatively safe distance from the clan, they should be prepared to face anything out there from primordial beasts, to bandits, unexpected sandstorms, and everything in between - without their clan to back them up!
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Of all the characters in Sun Clan, Spencer was the first to notice Amber's extended absense. Submissions that include him will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

Plot Point 2: Stranger in the Woods

Introduction | Conclusion

There's trouble at the tower! Out of nowhere, a mysterious stranger has appeared with an unknown Glowchu in tow. Whatever his intentions or goals for being here may be, they definitely can't be good- he's gone after two of Moon Clan's own members, and probably doesn't intend on stopping there. What in Arceus's name could he possibly want with them? The very youngest 'chu in the team just barely managed to escape capture but was powerless to help the others in the face of such dire circumstances. Right now he's doing the best he can to round up a rescue party for the other Moon Clan children, as well as the unfamiliar Pichu who have all fallen to the hooded villain's clutches. So, don't just stand there! Go and teach that hooded figure a lesson he won't soon forget!

➤ Prompt Objectives

A mysterious cloaked assailant has shown up in the woods beyond the tower, terrorizing a group of Moon Clan children who were out there playing! This mysterious Pokemon now has not only the children in his clutches, but an unfamiliar Glowchu that no one staying at the tower has even seen before, too. Where could she have come from? Whatever the case, now is hardly the time to be standing around considering the solutions to unanswered questions - not when fellow clanmates could be in danger [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Despite the circumstances, the youngest member of the group of children somehow managed to escape the Pokemon’s clutches and has made his way back to the tower unscathed - for the most part, anyway. He’s more than a little shaken, but is willing to lead the way back to the other children for anyone willing to fight.
  • There’s danger afoot! While your character’s clanmates are out fighting the mysterious Pokemon in the woods, perhaps they can patrol the area around the tower. Who knows what else could be lurking in the shadows. For all anyone knows, he could have had friends who are just waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
  • Your character has made it to the children on time and they’re safe - for now. But this Pokemon isn’t going to let them go without a fight. So… it’s time to fight!
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Blythe has made his way to Moon Clan and is terrorizing the local children! Spike, Espiridion, and Madison are some of the children in trouble. Submissions that include at least one of any of these characters will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance [the bonuses stack]!

Mission 2-2: Aren't They Cute?

It might come off as odd that, despite Mirage's constant verbal degradation of the primordial beasts, she takes great care not to use fatal force against one - unless absolutely necessary. Heck, with how strict she was about making sure no one went so far as to kill them, one might think she valued the beasts' lives even more than that of her own followers. Nothing, however, could be farther from the truth. Regardless of her adamant moral stance on their right to live, Mirage can't stand them. They're filthy, they're mindless, and, most importantly: they're unpredictable. Suffice to say, she's incredibly skeptical about Gracidea's so-called domestication system and doesn't want anything to do with it or these “pets” she's introduced to the tower. But not even the standoffish leader could resist something as innocent and adorable as a baby Cleffa, right? Surely there must be some way to convince Mirage that not all unintelligent Pokemon are savage monstrosities.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Everyone at Dragonspiral Tower seems so excited about the new eggs Gracidea has given them! ...Everyone except Mirage, that is. Maybe your character can change Mirage's mind about the domesticated beasts? Why not show her how cute they are, how useful they can be, or anything else you can think of to support their argument that pets aren't a bad thing [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Everyone knows the most important quality in a pet is just how gosh darn cute they are, right? Maybe Mirage feels the same way! If someone were to show her the absolute cutest pet they could find, there’s no way she’d be able to deny the importance of a pet in one’s life!
  • If cuteness doesn’t do the trick, what about entertainment? Pets are incredibly fun, after all. Perhaps a game of fetch or tug of war (or any other games one might play with their furry companions) would help to change Mirage’s mind?
  • Cuteness? Check. Fun? Check. All that’s left to do is show Mirage just how useful a pet can be! From learning to accomplish basic chores, to helping find valuable resources, there’s no shortage in ways that a furry friend can be useful. Mirage just needs someone to show her that.

Random Event 6: Care and Keeping of Primordial Beasts

Introduction | Conclusion

While he’s not exactly new to the practice of raising a Primordial Beast, Solari has never handled a creature quite like Abaddon before. Fussy, temperamental, and all too willing to snap at anything and everything in sight, the newly hatched Aerodactyl is turning out to be quite the handful already. Ilfrit may have been right, after all; maybe Solari did bite off a little more than he could chew with this one, but he’s never been one to give up so easily. In spite of his claims to have everything under control, it’s apparent (to all but himself) that he could really use a hand right about now. Surely there must be something his fellow clan members can do to help him out.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Solari seems to be having some trouble handling newly hatched Abaddon. Why doesn’t your see if they can't take the young Aerodactyl off his hands for a while, or at least give him some pointers; he could certainly use them, despite the fact that he might not exactly appreciate them [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Solari has gotten virtually no sleep for the past 3 days, and it shows. He’s snapping at everyone and there are bags under his eyes the size and color of plums. Perhaps your character can take the baby primordial beast off his hands for a while so that he can get some much needed rest.
  • Despite the fact that Solari has raised Primordial Beasts before, Abaddon has proven to be on a whole other level when it comes to the care and attention he requires. If your character is on the more knowledgeable end of the spectrum when it comes to care for beasts, maybe they can offer him some pointers? Or just lend a hand in the hatchling’s overall care?
  • If your character isn't particularly good at handling Primordial Beasts - let alone baby ones - surely Solari would appreciate the help [or an attempt at one], regardless. Probably.
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Solari is struggling with the newest addition to Sun Clan, the recently hatched Class 4 Aerodactyl, Abaddon. Submissions that include either of these two characters will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance [the bonuses stack]!

Introduction | Conclusion

Once all of her precious Pokemon and eggs had been accounted for, Gracidea expressed her earnest thanks to the 'chus by granting them with pets of their very own before taking her leave and continuing on her travels. Everyone seems to be enjoying caring for their furry new friends... But wait- what's this? Some of the Moon Clan members have stumbled across a lone Fennekin egg in the halls of the tower! They've asked around to see who it belonged to, but no one seems to have an answer. With Mirage unwilling to have anything to do with it and Gracidea already being long gone, the poor thing has nowhere to go... So, it looks like it's up to you to take care of it until it hatches!

➤ Prompt Objectives

Has your character ever taken care of an egg before? Well, now’s their chance! This abandoned egg surely must have come from Gracidea and her gaggle of “pets,” but no one knows if anyone had previously claimed it or if it somehow got left behind in all the commotion [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Would your character go around asking every single member of the clan to see if anyone lost an egg, maybe even going so far as to put up “found egg” fliers around the tower? Or do they immediately take it in and plan to raise it for themselves?
  • Eggs might not be actual babies just yet, but they still need a lot of attention! Does your character know anything about taking care of them or are they completely clueless? Maybe they seek out help from a more experienced member? An egg needs warm blankets, to be kept clean, and, of course, lots of love!
  • Maybe pets aren't exactly your character's cup of tea, but there's still plenty they can do to help out.... or... not?? Perhaps your character thinks that there's more than enough beasts running amok through the tower by now and the last thing they need is yet another one - an unattended one at that. Would they be the type to whisk the egg away at night when no one was looking? Perhaps if they left it outside, another wild beast would take it in as its own. Then everyone's problems would be solved... right?
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Nixie is exceptionally intuitive when it comes to domesticated primordial beasts. Submissions that include her will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance!

Random Event 4: sOLARI'S sUSPICIOUS aNTICS

Introduction | Conclusion

Quite a few Sun Clan members have noticed Solari acting a little unusual lately. He’s oddly fidgety and nervous, almost like he’s got something to hide. But he’d never hide anything from his loyal followers, would he? And what exactly is it that he’s trying to keep concealed beneath his cloak? Well, perhaps it isn’t his followers that he’s so keen on hiding this particular secret from... In any case, he seems to have opened up enough to send others out to gather some supplies for him, but- cloth and fresh water...? What could he possibly need with these? Especially when Sun Clan doesn’t exactly have the water to spare in their current condition. It would probably be in everyone’s best interest not to question the young prince’s motives at this current point in time, however; it looks as though he’s in an even more irritable mood than usual!

➤ Prompt Objectives

Solari's been acting strange and things just keep getting stranger! Your character has no idea why, but the prince has made some rather ridiculous demands of them and anyone who knows Solari knows that it's best to do as he says - not that he’ll let them have any choice in the matter [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • Solari has sent your character off to fetch a rather… odd assortment of supplies from camp. Clean blankets, fresh water, raw meat… wait, what was that last one? Well, there’s no point in sitting around wondering what the Prince might need with all this. Surely things will become clear once someone has brought him everything he needs.
  • Stranger still, Solari has also requested the presence of Gaunt, for whatever reason. The only problem is… Gaunt doesn’t seem to be at camp right now. Maybe your character can go look for him? Surely he couldn’t have gone too far.
  • On top of all the strangeness of the day, Solari seems especially keen on avoiding Ilfrit. In addition to all his strange requests, he's also demanded of curious onlookers that Ilfrit not be alerted to what's going on. What even IS going on?? Well, despite your character's confusion, they may as well lend a hand at keeping Ilfrit at bay - the 'chu is already starting to get more than a little bit suspicious.
    • Bonus Objectives:
      • Solari is behaving strangely. He's also requested Gaunt's presence and that, alternatively, Ilfrit be kept as far away as possible. Submissions that include any of these characters will be eligible for an extra +5 Radiance [the bonuses stack]!

mISSION 2-1: a lESSON IN dEFENSE

The world is a cruel and treacherous land, and one never knows what sort of trouble they might find themselves in. And that is exactly why it’s good to be prepared. Ilfrit has instructed Gaunt to teach the members of Sun Clan a means of defending themselves against the many threats the world poses - primarily the threat of attack by hostile creatures. Having grown up living among Primordial Beasts, Gaunt is well-versed in this particular area and happens to know the best means of beefing up a person’s defense, and that is via the use of bones. Not just any bones, however. The bones of primordial beasts are particularly durable, much more so than the bones of your average Pokemon, so he has decided to take a small group on an expedition into the desert in search of some. You will find that there is no shortage of them in the Scorching Plains; this place is like a graveyard for the beasts with massive skeletons scattered all over the place and, as a result, with more armor than the whole of Sun Clan would ever need.

➤ Prompt Objectives

Gaunt has taken your character out on a mission to collect the bones of primordial beasts and bring them back for use as armor for the rest of Sun Clan. Their job is to scour the desert and see what they can find. And remember, the bigger and thicker the bone, the better the armor it will make [note that objectives are not required and serve simply as creative prompts to give users an idea of what they can do or may want to include in their submission]:

  • The Scorching Plains is a veritable gold mine of primordial beast bones. If there’s one thing the desert could never be lacking in, it’s bones… and of course, well… sand. But bones are what your character is looking for here. They only need to find one they like, but if they’re feeling especially helpful, maybe they can bring some back for the rest of the clan as well.
  • So your character has found some beast bones, now what? Well, with a few modifications, the bones can make for some pretty defensive armor! They can fashion skulls into helmets, shoulder blades into bracers - the possibilities are endless. If they want to look especially cool, maybe they can deck their armor out with cool colors and accessories like feathers, beads, or even flowers!
  • Bones or no bones, there’s plenty to be learned about defense from someone as versed in the field as Gaunt. Perhaps they can sit and listen as they explain some basic defensive strategies for survival in not just Terraria, but anywhere in the world.
